All Applications NOW OPEN for Fall 2014!



Calling all prospective freshmen UNCW students -- applications are now open! 

There are two application periods for applying to enter Fall 2014:

  • The application deadline for Early Action (non binding) is November 1, 2013, with decisions mailed on or around January 20, 2014.
  • The application deadline for Regular Decision is February 1, 2014, with decisions mailed on or around April 1, 2014.

Students can use SeaLevel, CFNC or Common App to submit an application.  To learn more about the admission process and requirements, we encourage you to visit our First Year Admissions website.

Live music downtown? River sunset tour? Or "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL?"

Wilmington is chock full of exciting summertime events! Tonight is a perfect case in point. Residents and visitors alike have a choice of several offerings:  The Downtown Sundown concert series on the waterfront, featuring well-known cover bands.


Big Wooly Mammoth, a Widespread Panic tribute band, is this week's musical artist. 


Or cheering on the local soccer team, the Hammerheads:



The Hammerheads take on VSI Tampa Bay at 7:30 at Legion Stadium.


You might even want to cruise the Cape Fear River at sunset, gliding by the Downtown Sundown concert as you return from wildlife and marsh viewing! Check out the Wilmington Water Tours:

Azalea Festival


Wilmington, NC Azalea Festival

The North Carolina Azalea Festival takes place every April in the city of Wilmington. The five-day festival celebrates local art, floral gardens and the history of Wilmington. Festivities include the queen's coronation, concerts, parade, street fair, garden and home tours, celebrity appearances and more at venues across town.

Final Countdown!

May 1st is quickly approaching.  If you were admitted to attend UNCW for the fall or spring, remember you have until May 1st to pay your enrollment and housing deposit.  You can make these payments online through your Seaport account.  Remember, that your teal ticket has all of the steps you need to help make your transition to UNCW a smooth one.

Register Now for FAFSA Day on Feb. 23 at UNCW

On Saturday, Feb. 23, the UNCW Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid will help high school seniors and their families complete FAFSA forms. UNCW’s event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon in Bear Hall. Registration is required.
