Temple Grandin lecture sells out

The lecture to be given by Dr. Temple Grandin at UNCW on February 14th, 2011 has just sold out.  Tickets are still available for overflow seating at the movie theatre on campus, Lumina Theatre.

Dr. Grandin, a world-renowned author and animal scientist, is an advocate in increasing the public's understanding of autism and animal behavior.  Having been diagnosed with autism herself as a child, she draws on her experiences to help design humane livestock facilities and educate the public about this mental illness.

The lecture is entitled "Thinking in Pictures: And Other Reports from My Life with Autism," and will take place at 7pm in the Kenan Auditorium that night.  Click on the link below to learn more about this incredible scientist, the Leadership Lecture Series at UNCW, and other events hosted by our special events programming office, UNCW Presents!
